Is That a Threat or a Promise?

One of the six imams ordered off a US Airways flight this week is calling for a boycott of the airline.

Another news article is predicting that the US Airways/Delta merger may cause ticket prices to rise in some areas. This includes a number of cities in Florida (one of my favorite destinations.)

I'm thinking that if the boycott goes through it will make this carrier attractive to many travelers regardless of ticket price.

Ya... I use to buy tickets to P'cola on Piedmont for $150 round trip. Delta bought them. It immediately doubled in price. Just be aware. and it never went back down.

Delta bought Piedmont?

I think the second article also said that other carriers, such as Southwest, might try to buy some of the terminals that are now used by one of the merged airlines. If there's enough discount flights out of an airport, it could help keep ticket prices down for US Air/Delta...but I'm not going to count on that happening.
