Though we cannot make our sun Stand still...

There's a proposal being considered by Congress that will add two months to Daylight Saving Time.

"The more daylight we have, the less electricity we use,'' said U.S. Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), who co-sponsored the measure with U.S. Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.).

More. Daylight.

Congress is obviously more powerful than I had realized.

I've never really understood the necessity of tinkering with time. It passes at its own rate... fidgeting the clocks up or back don't really change a thing. The statement "The more daylight we have, the less electricity we use," is ridiculous. You're not changing the amount of daylight available.
Yes, I understand the relationship of time variance as applies to business. I guess I just don't like feeling yanked around because John Doe wants to get to work sooner.
I am a cranky cheese today, my apologies.

No apology needed, I appreciate your comment. I was beginning to wonder if people read it and thought it was so clearly stupid it didn't need comment or if I needed to explain that measurements of time are artificial concepts and the only way to increase daylight is to alter the Earth's tilt or stop its rotation.

I laughed yesterday every time I thought of "more daylight". If you can't laugh at a congressman's ignorance, what are they good for really?

At least he wasn't complaining about video games.
