Dutch Meatloaf

Meatloaf:
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. tomato sauce
Sauce:
2 Tbl. vinegar
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. tomato sauce
2 Tbl. brown sugar
1/2 c. water

Combine meatloaf ingredients and mix lightly but thoroughly with a fork. Pack lightly in a loaf pan. Mix together sauce ingredients and pour over the meatloaf.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Slice and serve.

Serves 6.

No Bread crumbs?

No, no bread crumbs. You can add them (or oats or whatever your favorite filler/extender is) if you prefer the texture that they give or want to get more volume. If adding crumbs makes the meat mixture too dry just add a bit more tomato sauce or a tablespoon or two of milk.
